More than one out of five people in Japan are affected by dizziness. The causes of dizziness vary widely and treating from the point of single medical specialty, i.e. Otology (ear) or Neurology (brain), seems problematic. The fact that most of our patients had visited two or more specialty doctors prior to visiting our clinic without satisfactory results indicates difficulty in treating dizziness as a single specialty issue.

There are many unknown factors surrounding dizziness and causes or mechanisms of most cases are still not well understood. This uncertainty within medical community may be causing more anxiety to many people suffering dizziness.
